River rafting on the Lidder river is an adventurous activity that has gained a lot of popularity in the past few years. The water does remain almost freezing during this time of the year as well, but with the sun out it becomes a soothing component.
Aru Valley is around 25 minutes drive from Pahalgam. The place is very beautiful. There is a large open park in the center surrounded by beautiful hills. Ponies are available if you want to climb up the hill or you can simply trek. We chose to spend time in the park and enjoy the natural beauty. Betaab Valley, originally called as Hajan Valley or Hagan Valley, is situated at a distance of 15 km (9.3 mi) from Pahalgam in the Anantnag district in India's union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Tulian Lake is an alpine lake located near Pahalgam in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir, India. It lies at an altitude of 3,684 metres above sea level, 16 kilometres southwest from Pahalgam and 11 kilometres from Baisaran. The lake often has chunks of ice floating in it.
